The Supreme Court has issued an interim order, asking the government not to expel Gopal Bahadur Khadka from the post of Managing Director of Nepal Oil Corporation.

A single bench of Justice Purushottam Bhandari issued the order on Sunday urging the government not to implement its decision of sacking Khadka.

Khadka had filed a writ petition at SC on September 20, arguing that he was sacked by the government against the principle of natural justice.

He, in the petition, said he was not given a chance to furnish clarification while deciding to terminate him from the post. And, he was appointed for four year's term and still waiting one and half year to complete the tenure.

The government had sacked Khadka upon the recommendation of the parliamentary committee that he was involved in huge financial irregularities while purchasing land for the storage of petroleum products. RSS
