RJP cadres vandalize UML, NC vehicles

Cadres of the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) Tuesday have vandalized vehicles belonging to CPN-UML and Nepali Congress leaders.

The coalition of Madhes-based parties on June 11 had issued a press statement announcing protest programs to disrupt the Phase II election. The protest programs include general strike in Tharuhat, Madhes and Limbuwan regions from Tuesday till Friday.

Police said that RJP cadres have vandalized vehicle belonging to UML MP Dip Narayan Sah in Mahottari on Tuesday morning. According to SP at District Police Office, Mahottari, Raj Kumar Lamsal, the vehicle heading to Bardibas from Samsi was vandalized at Aurahi Rural Municipality-1. The glass window of the vehicle has been broken.

Meanwhile, RJP cadres have also vandalized NC Nepalgunj mayoral candidate Suresh Kumar Kanodiya's vehicle.

"The Scorpio SUV (Ba 14 Cha 1387) which was returning to the party's liaison office after leaving NC candidate, Dr Suresh Kanodiya, at a door-to- door election campaign at Puraina in ward no 22 was vandalized at the Tribhuvan intersection," informed SP at District Police Office, Banke, Tek Prasad Rai.
